Terms of Service
Last updated 3 September 2026
These terms apply whenever you order from Maison Mirrors, by WhatsApp, email or through this website. By placing an order you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, message us on WhatsApp before you pay — we'd rather sort it out first.
1. Made-to-order pieces
Every mirror is cut, framed and finished after you order it — we don't hold finished stock. Standard pieces are usually ready in one to two weeks; bespoke sizes and finishes typically take three to four weeks. We'll confirm a lead time in writing once your order and payment are in.
2. Prices
Prices on this site are in Ksh. Prices include 16% VAT. Prices can change without notice, but once we've confirmed your order at a price, that price is fixed for that order. Delivery is quoted separately once we have your address.
3. Payment
We take payment by Lipa na M-Pesa (Paybill or Till, as shown at checkout) and, where available, by card. An order is only confirmed and queued for production once we've matched your payment confirmation code to your order reference. For larger or bespoke orders we may ask for a deposit before work starts and the balance before delivery.
4. Bespoke orders and cancellations
Bespoke sizes and finishes are cut specifically for you. Once we've confirmed the drawing and fabrication has started, we can't offer a refund on the deposit if you change your mind — we can usually still adjust finish or delivery details, so tell us as early as possible if something needs to change. Standard, un-started orders can be cancelled for a full refund within 24 hours of payment.
5. Delivery and risk
We deliver within Nairobi with our own team, upcountry by insured courier, and to Kampala, Dar es Salaam and Kigali by road or air freight quoted separately. Risk in the piece passes to you on delivery. Please inspect it, and any crate, before the driver leaves.
6. Damaged or faulty pieces
If a mirror arrives damaged, photograph it before you sign for it and send the photos to us the same day — we'll remake or repair the piece at no cost to you. This doesn't cover damage caused after delivery, including during hanging.
7. Frame guarantee
Our frames are guaranteed against manufacturing defects — corrosion of plating, joint failure or finish breakdown under normal indoor use — for five years from delivery. This doesn't cover glass breakage, misuse, outdoor installation, or wear from bathroom humidity on finishes not rated for it.
8. Your responsibilities
- Give us an accurate size, address and contact number — remakes caused by wrong measurements are chargeable.
- Arrange safe access for delivery and, where relevant, hanging.
- Use a wall fixing rated for the mirror's weight; we can recommend one but installation by others is at their own risk.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We're not liable for indirect losses, or for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as courier disruption or import delays.
10. Intellectual property
Photos, drawings and copy on this site belong to Maison Mirrors. You're welcome to share them; please don't reuse them commercially without asking.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force is the one on this page on the day you order.
